Nemco strongly believes in giving back to our community.
Our aim is to develop an enduring legacy in the communities we serve. For many years now we as a company have worked with Habitat for Humanity Manitoba. We have participated in several home building projects, the Cycle of Hope and annually our parent company continues to plan and host a fund-raising charity golf tournament. Over the years our contribution has neared $500,000.
On a more local level we continue to sponsor sports tournaments, local arena hockey boards and we have been involved with a local dirt track raceway.
Nemco Lubricants + Solutions takes care of our people and the environment around us. For us this means safe choices to protect our employees where they work. It means sustainable practices and minimal disturbance to protect our environment.
We take environmental responsibility seriously, taking action through initiatives like:
- Adherence to CCME Environmental Codes of Practice
- Recycling used antifreeze through our environmental waste collection partner
- Recycling used oil containers through provincial recycling programs; MARRC and SARRC
- Spill prevention initiatives
- Sourcing green suppliers whenever possible
- No idle zones for vehicles
- Keeping equipment well-maintained
- Waste reduction through recycling of paper and equipment
- Reduce printing consumables through the use of electronic media and automatic double-sided print outs.
